Garden House

What a truly fun project to be apart of. Located only a few hundred meters from the sand dunes and snailing path to the beach, this house created a first home to a fabulous young family. The brief was to renovate a well loved brick veneer home that had been added to and tinkered with for years, In addition to creating light filled spaces that create an improved connection between the front and the rear of the house, the site is large and ideally orientated to allow for the creation of a beautiful and bountiful garden. Will the painstaking help of client and family, the modest budget was stretched to deliver a well crafted space that uses a mixture of natural and low cost materials that help to integrate the building into the surrounding garden. A rear bungalow provides a haven for the mass of visitors so keen to enjoy the location and family is houses, while doubling as a home office. With time, the garden has become the hero in the picture and it is is so exciting to see it contribute to the joy the family receiving from living here.
